A mesmerizing malt, matured in refill American and European Oak, then double matured in wine-seasoned casks. The Singleton of Glen Ord is the only remaining single malt distillery on the Black Isle, where the whisky's magic lies in its decadently layered flavors.
Dry overall, a vinous scent is backed by spicy, woody notes of oak shavings and beech, blended with tart, red berry fruit, and vanilla. A well-balanced ultra-smooth texture with the taste of barley-sugar sweet, and a pinch of salt turns pleasantly tart with hints of gooseberry and crisp grape.
